Ankara: The Turkish Ministry of Transport has reported an armed attack on the cargo ship "Medvolga-2" in international waters in the Black Sea. The vessel, which was en route to Sinop province in northern Turkey, was approximately 80 miles from the Turkish coast at the time of the incident.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry posted on the platform of the American company X, detailing that the "Medvolga-2" was attacked while traveling from Russia to Georgia with a cargo of sunflower oil. Despite the attack, the Ministry noted that the ship did not request any assistance and confirmed that its 13 crew members are in good health.

The incident bears resemblance to a prior attack that occurred in late November, which targeted the ships "Kairos" and "Firat" in the Black Sea. These ships were on a voyage from Egypt to Russia when they were attacked.
