Baghdad: Minister of Construction and Housing, Benkin Rikani, engaged in talks with Swedish Charg d'Affaires in Iraq, J¶rgen Lindstr¶m, focusing on the involvement of Swedish companies in Iraqi development projects.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Construction and Housing released a statement detailing that Minister Rikani had a meeting with Lindstr¶m and the Commercial Attach, Ms. Nabaa Al-Mayahi. The discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two nations and sharing expertise across various sectors.

Key topics included the involvement of Swedish firms in the establishment of new residential cities, and investments in critical infrastructure projects such as roads, water, and sewage systems. The Swedish Charg d'Affaires in Baghdad confirmed Sweden's willingness to contribute to the implementation and financing of these initiatives, particularly those managed by the Ministry of Construction and Housing, as well as the development of modern roads.
