Moscow: Russian Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko met with Ebrahim Azizi, Deputy Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament (Islamic Consultative Assembly), who was in Moscow on a working visit to attend the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, ‘Both sides expressed satisfaction with the growing development in various aspects of Russian-Iranian relations, based on the spirit of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty, which has entered into force.’

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest, noting the significant convergence, and in many cases, the alignment, between the Russian and Iranian approaches to addressing the main challenges of our time.

The two sides also reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening cooperation in all promising areas.
