PM Sponsors The Official Ceremony Announcing The End Of The Mandate Of The UNAMI


Baghdad: Under the patronage of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, the official ceremony marking the end of the mandate of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) was held this evening in the presence of UN Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres, Speaker of Parliament Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, and a number of political leaders and ministers.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the event highlighted the collaborative efforts and achievements made during the mission’s tenure in Iraq. The ceremony was attended by prominent figures, reflecting the significance of the United Nations’ involvement in supporting Iraq through challenging times. The conclusion of UNAMI’s mandate signals a new phase for Iraq as it continues to build on the foundations laid by the mission.



The UN Secretary-General, Ant³nio Guterres, along with other dignitaries, acknowledged the accomplishments achieved through joint efforts. The presence of both national and international representatives underscored the importance of continued cooperation in ensuring stability and progress in Iraq.
