Baghdad: The Head of the Progress Party, Mohammed al-Halbousi, met today at his office with the German Ambassador to Iraq, Daniel Krieber, to discuss bilateral relations and the importance of developing them in a way that meets the aspirations of the two friendly countries.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Progress Party indicated that at the beginning of the meeting, the German Ambassador congratulated al-Halbousi on the success of the democratic process practiced by the Iraqi people in the parliamentary elections.

The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral relations, particularly cooperation in the economic and trade sectors, as well as security collaboration to combat the remnants of terrorism. Additionally, the meeting underscored the importance of forming an Iraqi government that aligns with citizens’ aspirations and bolsters security and economic stability.
