Baghdad: A joint security force successfully arrested a smuggler and three Syrian nationals at the Al-Husayniyah checkpoint north of Baghdad. The arrest occurred as the individuals attempted to enter the city illegally.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the apprehended smuggler is from Salah al-Din province. He was found with three Syrian nationals who had traveled from northern Iraq with the intention of being smuggled into Baghdad. The joint security force acted swiftly to prevent the illegal entry and ensure the individuals were detained for further investigation.
