Iraq’s Kata’ib Hezbollah Commemorates Martyrdom Anniversary of General Soleimani

Baghdad: The Secretary-General of Kata’ib Hezbollah, Ahmad Mohsen Faraj al-Hamidawi, also known as Abu Hussein, has issued a statement commemorating the martyrs Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Abu Hussein’s statement was released on the anniversary of General Soleimani’s martyrdom, highlighting the significance of the martyrs’ sacrifices. He proclaimed that their blood had inscribed chapters of honor and dignity, and their assassination was a failed attempt to undermine the will of the resistant nations.

Abu Hussein addressed the current situation in Iraq, emphasizing the necessity of forming a just and powerful government. He called for the strengthening of the country’s defense capabilities to counter external threats and advocated for boosting field activities grounded in Islamic values to combat manifestations of moral corruption within society.

He emphasized the importance of rebuilding Iraq’s security forces on professional principles, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary resources to defend the nation. He also expressed the Islamic Resistance’s readiness to share its experiences in these areas.

Additionally, he commented on global developments, specifically the alleged kidnapping of Venezuela’s president by US forces. He criticized the US actions as an example of attempts to secure energy interests and impose imperialist will on sovereign nations. On Saturday, US President Donald Trump confirmed a military strike on Venezuela and announced the detention of President Nicol¡s Maduro and his wife.
