Baghdad: Israeli Channel 13 reported Thursday evening that the Israeli Navy fired on an Egyptian warship that entered Gaza's territorial waters.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Hebrew channel stated that an Egyptian warship entered Gaza's territorial waters, a restricted area, prompting Israeli naval vessels to open fire.
It added that the Egyptian ship returned to Egyptian territorial waters.
According to the same source, the Egyptian ship left the Sinai Peninsula and entered the maritime area under a naval blockade imposed by the Israeli fleet.
