Baghdad: National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji affirmed that Iraq's societal diversity is a source of strength, pride, and a unifying identity for all Iraqis. The National Security Advisory stated in a press release that Al-Araji met with His Holiness Patriarch Mar Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for the Syriac Orthodox Church, in the presence of notable religious figures including His Eminence Archbishop Mar Severius Hawa, Archbishop of Baghdad and Basra, and others.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions between Al-Araji and the religious leaders focused on the general situation in the country, emphasizing the importance of maintaining social stability and unifying the national discourse. The meeting also highlighted the need to consolidate the principles of tolerance and fraternal coexistence among all communities in Iraq.

Al-Araji reiterated that Iraq's social diversity serves as a foundation of strength and pride, contributing to a unifying identity that encompasses all Iraqis. He noted that the convergence of all religions and sects occurs on the common ground of national unity, facilitated by the unity of the people and their commitment to coexistence.
