Damascus: The United States praised the efforts of the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in reaching a ceasefire agreement, considering it a step towards renewed dialogue and cooperation for a unified Syria.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the US Embassy in Damascus stated in a press release that the agreement represents a pivotal turning point, as the two sides move from adversarial to partnership, with a shared vision aimed at building a better future for all Syrians.

The statement affirmed Washington’s support for the smooth integration of the Syrian Democratic Forces into Syrian state institutions, within the framework of continued joint efforts to combat ISIS, noting that work is ongoing to finalize the details of the comprehensive integration agreement.
