Baghdad: Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari conducted a field tour today of the Iraqi-Syrian border strip. During his visit, he inspected various points and outposts along the border, focusing on the ongoing construction of a concrete wall designed to enhance security measures in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Shammari emphasized the preparedness of the forces stationed at the border. He declared that “the readiness of our heroic fighters will not allow any threat or infiltration attempt,” highlighting the commitment to maintaining security and preventing unauthorized crossings. The visit underscores the continuous efforts to bolster border defenses and ensure the safety of the nation.
