Oil Prices Rise, Supported by Chinese Economic Data


Sulaymaniyah: Oil prices rose during trading on Tuesday, supported by Chinese economic data: Oil prices increased as trading unfolded on Tuesday, bolstered by Chinese economic data that heightened expectations for improved demand.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brent crude futures climbed 19 cents, or 0.3%, to reach $64.13 a barrel. Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures for February, due to expire on the same day, rose by 25 cents, marking a 0.4% increase. The WTI contract for March, which is more actively traded, saw a modest rise of 0.08 cents, or 0.13%, settling at $59.42.
