Baghdad: The Cabinet has approved the recommendation from the Ministerial Council for Economy to set the price of surplus wheat intended for export at a range of 415,000-420,000 Iraqi dinars per ton. This decision was reached during its third regular session held on Tuesday.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Cabinet also agreed on a proposal to rectify the gas calculation process. This involves amending Cabinet Resolution 281 of 2013 to use the dry gas unit, measured in cubic meters, instead of the previously used one million standard cubic feet, wherever it appears in the resolution.
In addition, the Cabinet granted the Ministries of Finance and Planning the authority to continue disbursing funds for completed work on investment projects. This is to be done in accordance with the available cash flow and includes issuing necessary change orders and cost increases. These increases must be essential to the core project and cannot exceed 25% of the contract value. Any such changes are required to be submitted to the Council of Ministers for approval, pending the approval of the federal budget.
