Baquba: A force from the Tactical Regiment arrested a suspect for attempting to assault and extort a citizen in the province.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, as part of ongoing security efforts to enhance security and stability and enforce the rule of law, a security force arrested a suspect wanted under Article (229) of the Penal Code. This followed information received about his attempted assault and extortion of a citizen in Al-Muqdadiyah district, northeast of Baquba.

The source added that the suspect was found in his possession of two weapons, an M4 and an M16, along with stores and ammunition. The arrested individual, along with the weapons and seized items, was handed over to the relevant authorities to take the necessary legal measures against him.
