Baghdad: The Baghdad/Al-Karkh Police Command announced today, Monday, the arrest of a man accused of committing an indecent act that violated public morals, after a video of him circulated on social media.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Media Department of the Baghdad/Al-Karkh Police Command, in cooperation with the security forces, was able to arrest a man against whom a judicial arrest warrant had been issued. The arrest came after an official complaint from his wife, who indicated his whereabouts.

The operation was carried out as a result of a swift and coordinated security operation, where the arrest warrant was executed within the jurisdiction of the Al-Furat and Al-Jihad Police Station, ending the man’s state of hiding. The accused was handed over to the competent authority to take the necessary legal measures against him. The leadership emphasized its continued pursuit of those wanted by the judiciary and its zero tolerance for any act that disrupts security and public order, to protect society and uphold moral values.
