Road Closures in Response to Allowances Cuts: University of Babylon Employees and Professors Continue Their Sit-In


Babylon: Dozens of employees and professors from the University of Babylon continued their sit-in at the university entrance for the second day in a row, protesting the Ministry of Finance’s decision to cut their university service allowances.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the protesters have expressed their determination to escalate the situation if their demands are not addressed. They have issued a warning that they will block the main road linking Babylon and Najaf if the Ministry of Finance does not reconsider its decision regarding the allowance cuts.
