Baghdad: Sadiqun parliamentary bloc met with Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and Shakhwan Abdullah, the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc, to discuss crucial constitutional entitlements, focusing on the selection of the President of the Republic.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the head of Sadiqun parliamentary bloc underscored the bloc’s dedication to fulfilling this national duty in line with the constitution. The aim is to ensure the selection of the most suitable figure to represent all Iraqis, with the supreme interest of Iraq being the primary criterion for selection.

The attendees at the meeting also affirmed that the resolution of the presidential entitlement is expected to occur on Tuesday. They indicated that the vote will be conducted for the benefit of Iraq, contributing to the completion of constitutional entitlements and advancing political and institutional stability in the country.
