Baghdad: The Coordination Framework has urged the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) to reach a consensus that would enable the timely election of the president of the republic. This call to action emphasizes adherence to the constitutionally mandated timeframe for the election process.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Coordination Framework’s media office released a statement detailing that the framework convened its 260th regular meeting to address constitutional obligations and the presidential election. During this meeting, the framework hosted delegations from both the KDP and the PUK separately to discuss the issue.
The statement conveyed that the framework listened to the perspectives of both delegations and emphasized the importance of reaching an agreement that would facilitate the presidential election within the designated timeframe. Furthermore, the Coordination Framework highlighted the critical need to respect constitutional deadlines and fulfill national responsibilities.
