Sulaimaniyah: The President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Talabani, met in Sulaimaniyah on Tuesday with the US Special Envoy to Syria, Tom Barak, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, to discuss the latest developments in Syria.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting was also attended by Qubad Talabani, a member of the PUK Political Bureau. During the discussions, emphasis was placed on the necessity of implementing the agreement of January 29 between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian government, and working to remove any obstacles hindering its implementation.

The attendees also stressed the importance of respecting all components of Syrian society, affirming their support for efforts aimed at helping the country become an active and constructive player in the region and internationally.
