Four Foreign Workers Arrested for Violating Residency Laws in Baquba


Baquba: Security forces arrested four foreign workers for violating residency laws during a large-scale security campaign targeting foreign workers who violate residency requirements in Baquba, the capital of Diyala Governorate, and the surrounding areas.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Director of Public Relations and Media for the Diyala Police, Brigadier General Haitham al-Shammari, explained that the campaign focused on foreign workers without legal residency permits who are employed in various sectors, such as restaurants, cafes, and other workplaces, to apprehend violators and enforce the law.



He also mentioned that the necessary legal measures have been taken against these violators in accordance with the instructions issued by the Ministry of Interior, as part of efforts to strengthen the rule of law and regulate the labor market.
