Poland Advises Immediate Evacuation of Citizens from Israel, Iran, and Lebanon

Warsaw: The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a directive urging all Polish citizens currently residing in Israel, Iran, and Lebanon to leave these countries immediately. The ministry’s advisory highlights the increasing risks of escalation due to the tense situation in the Middle East, which could severely disrupt civilian air travel.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry’s statement underscores the current instability in the region, warning that the potential closure of airspace might render returning by air either impossible or extremely difficult. This advisory is part of a broader precautionary measure in response to the volatile security environment in these nations.

In tandem with the ministry’s announcement, the Polish Embassy in Israel has also issued a warning through its ‘X’ platform, urging Polish nationals to exercise heightened caution. The embassy’s alert advises citizens to ensure they have sufficient financial resources, keep their passports on hand, and maintain access to a charged phone and essential medications.

Furthermore, the embassy has recommended that Polish citizens register with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ “Odysseus” system. This registration aims to enhance communication and coordination in the event of emergencies, thereby ensuring the safety of Polish nationals.

These advisories are unfolding as tensions in the region escalate, with concerns mounting over a potential Israeli-American military action against Iran. This has prompted several countries to reassess and update their travel advisories for citizens currently in the Middle East.
