Basra: The Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, along with Aqeel Talib Al-Fariji, the head of the Provincial Council’s Security Committee, visited the Iranian Consulate in Basra. They offered their condolences to the Islamic Republic of Iran following the martyrdom of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in what were described as American-Zionist attacks on Iran.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the visit by Al-Eidani and Al-Fariji underscores the close ties and solidarity between Basra’s local government and the Iranian government during this period of mourning. The officials expressed their sympathies and conveyed their support to the consulate’s representatives.
