Baghdad: The First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Adnan Faihan al-Dulaimi, has affirmed that the 1920 Revolution continues to serve as a beacon for future generations and a testament to the Iraqi people’s resilience against injustice and tyranny.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Faihan’s media office released a statement commemorating the 106th anniversary of the 1920 Revolution against the occupier. The statement highlighted the revolution as a significant national milestone, symbolizing unity and cohesion among Iraqis in the defense of sovereignty and national dignity.
Faihan emphasized that the 1920 Revolution stands as enduring evidence of the Iraqi people’s refusal to submit to oppression. He remarked that the spirit of free will among Iraqis remains robust against all efforts of subjugation. Furthermore, he stated that remembering this pivotal revolution inspires current efforts to build the state, establish justice, enforce the rule of law, and fight against corruption, honoring the sacrifices made by previous generations for the foundation of modern Iraq.
