Baghdad: President Nizar Amidi affirmed that the 1920 Revolution proved that Iraq is stronger when its people unite on a single goal. In a post on the “X” platform, the President said, “On the anniversary of the immortal 1920 Revolution, we recall one of the most brilliant pages in Iraq’s history, when the will of Iraqis, in all their diversity, united in defense of the nation’s sovereignty and the dignity of its people, writing with their blood a national epic that continues to inspire generations.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Amidi added that the 1920 Revolution proved that Iraq is stronger when its people unite on a single goal, and that the will of the people is capable of making history, protecting the homeland, and preserving its independence. From this immortal national spirit, we draw today our belief in establishing a strong and just state, a state that places the dignity of its citizens and their right to a decent life, security, and justice at the forefront of its priorities.
