Dialogue Is Key to Containing Crises, President Amedi Says During Meeting with Turkish Intelligence Chief

Baghdad: President Nizar Amedi said dialogue and mutual understanding remain essential in preventing crises during his meeting at Baghdad Palace with Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Presidency of the Republic stated that President Amedi received Kalin and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Iraqi National Intelligence Service chief Hamid Al-Shatri. Both sides engaged in discussions on strengthening coordination between Iraq and Turkey across key security and intelligence areas.

The statement further elaborated that the meeting reviewed the latest regional and international developments, alongside efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation in security and intelligence fields to safeguard the shared interests of both countries.

“Dialogue and mutual understanding represent the fundamental pillars for containing crises,” President Amedi emphasized, highlighting the importance of unifying efforts to confront cross-border challenges and build a more stable environment across the region.

Kalin, on his part, reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to maintaining close coordination and cooperation with Iraq across all sectors, while expanding avenues of collaboration between the relevant institutions of the two neighboring countries.
