Baghdad: The head of the Khadamat Alliance, Shibl al-Zaidi, emphasized that the battle against corruption holds equal significance and danger as the fight against ISIS and terrorism.

According to Iraqi News Agency, al-Zaidi made these remarks in a post on the (X) platform on Tuesday. He declared that the war on corruption is crucial because it undermines the state and hinders its development. He stressed that the government’s initiatives and the reform strategy implemented by the Prime Minister bring significant hope for a new political era where the rule of law prevails, and those misusing public funds are held accountable.

Al-Zaidi further stated his support for the government’s efforts and commended the Speaker of Parliament for his collaborative role with the government and judiciary in promoting the reform campaign. He reiterated that the principle of no one being above the law is essential for nation-building.
