Baghdad: Speaker of Parliament Haibat al-Halbousi received the head of the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT), Ibrahim Kalin, and his accompanying delegation on Tuesday. The meeting focused on regional and international developments, as well as avenues for enhanced cooperation between Iraq and Turkey, particularly in the realm of security.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from al-Halbousi’s office highlighted that the discussions aimed to serve the mutual interests of both countries and contribute to supporting security and stability in the region. The dialogue also covered several other issues of common interest, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the two nations.
