Baghdad: Parliament Speaker Haibat al-Halbousi discussed bilateral cooperation, particularly in the security field, with Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin, according to a statement from Halbousi’s media office on Tuesday.
According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Halbousi received Kalin and his accompanying delegation earlier in the day. The two sides engaged in discussions about regional and international developments and explored ways to enhance cooperation between Iraq and Turkey. The primary focus was on the security sector, aiming to serve the common interests of both countries and contribute to supporting security and stability.
The discussions also covered a number of issues of mutual interest, as mentioned in the statement.
