Baghdad: The Arab Parliament elected MP Hanan Al-Fatlawi as its fourth vice president on Tuesday. An Iraqi News Agency (INA) correspondent reported that Al-Fatlawi received 46 out of 62 valid votes, securing the position.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the election took place during the third session of the second legislative term of the Arab Parliament. Following her assumption of duties as Vice-President of the Arab Parliament, Al-Fatlawi expressed her gratitude to the members of Parliament for this trust.
She emphasized her commitment to strengthening cooperation between Arab parliaments and supporting the Arab Parliament’s progress in keeping pace with regional and international challenges, notably the Palestinian issue and Arab national security.
