Civil Defense Directorate Successfully Controls Fire in Al-Nahda, Central Baghdad


Baghdad: The Civil Defense Directorate announced on Tuesday that a fire in the Al-Nahda area of central Baghdad had been brought under control without any casualties.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the directorate stated in a press release: “Civil Defense teams managed to control a fire that broke out in a quantity of used household furniture under the Muhammad Al-Qasim Bridge in the Al-Nahda area of central Baghdad, without any injuries or loss of life.”



The directorate added that upon receiving the report, it mobilized its specialized teams and support vehicles. The teams immediately began to contain the fire and isolate it from neighboring areas to prevent its spread, and they succeeded in completely extinguishing the blaze.



The statement continued that the relevant authorities have launched an investigation into the incident and summoned a forensic expert to collect evidence and determine the cause of the fire, in accordance with established legal procedures.
