Baghdad: The Ministry of Education has announced that the application process for amending nominations and accepting graduates from the previous year will commence tomorrow. This initiative is set to facilitate university admissions for the 2026/2027 academic year.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research revealed that applications for the nomination modification channel and the admission channel for graduates from the previous academic year will begin on Wednesday. The deadline for submissions is set for the end of official working hours on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

The ministry has released an official statement indicating that an electronic form has been activated for students wishing to modify their nominations. This applies to students who were accepted in the 2025/2026 academic year through Central Admission, Martyrs’ Families, and Elite channels. However, eligibility excludes those enrolled in government-run private morning programs, evening programs, private education, or colleges affiliated with the two endowments.

It was further clarified that the electronic form for accepting students who graduated in the academic year 2024/2025 will also be available. This is applicable through Central Admission and Martyrs’ Families channels, with similar exclusions as those for nomination modifications.

The ministry emphasized that universities will be responsible for managing the electronic portal to assist students in retrieving lost passwords. These passwords will be distributed exclusively to the student or a first-degree relative.
