National Security Service Officers Take Legal Oath in Baghdad

Baghdad: 40 officers from the National Security Service took the legal oath before the President of the Baghdad/Rusafa Court of Appeals, Judge Imad al-Jabri. This event marked their official granting of investigative authority after they completed a three-month specialized course at the Judicial Institute.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Supreme Judicial Council made the announcement today, Tuesday. During the swearing-in ceremony, Judge al-Jabri emphasized the need for impartiality and integrity, highlighting the investigator’s role as a crucial component in criminal cases.

The judiciary’s press release underscored the responsibility these officers bear, stating that the task demands the highest levels of accuracy and honesty in documenting investigative procedures. It noted that the outcomes of cases and the rights of citizens heavily depend on the details provided in investigation reports.
