Baquba: Two children died in a fire that broke out inside a petrol station in Baquba, the capital of Diyala Governorate. A police source told the Iraqi National News Agency (NINA) correspondent that the tragedy occurred while the children were repairing a home generator near the station in the Shifta area of Baquba.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the fire rapidly engulfed the petrol station, leading to the unfortunate demise of the children. The incident prompted immediate action from a Civil Defense team, who, with the assistance of local residents, succeeded in extinguishing the fire. The bodies of the children were subsequently transferred to the forensic medicine department for further examination.
