Iraqi Bar Association and Parliamentary Legal Committee Discuss Legislative Cooperation


Baghdad: The head of the Iraqi Bar Association, lawyer Ahlam al-Lami, along with all members of the Bar Council, received the head of the Legal Committee in the Iraqi Parliament, lawyer Bahaa al-Araji, at the Bar Association headquarters. The meeting addressed several legislative topics, identifying laws that should be enacted. The two sides also discussed mechanisms for strengthening cooperation between the Bar Association and the Parliamentary Legal Committee to support its work.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Araji emphasized the Committee’s commitment to continued coordination with the Bar Association and to benefiting from its legal expertise in discussing draft laws, thus contributing to the issuance of sound legislation that meets the demands of the current stage and serves the public interest.
