Diyala Environment Directorate Approves 23 Projects to Boost Sustainable Development

Diyala: The Diyala Environment Directorate has granted 23 environmental approvals for a range of projects aimed at enhancing sustainable development and improving services for citizens and project owners.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Diyala Environment Director Rith Al-Zuhairi stated that the approvals were issued for service, industrial, and agricultural ventures after the projects met technical requirements and adhered to environmental regulations and standards. Al-Zuhairi mentioned that technical teams conducted 19 field inspections of projects submitted via the "Ur" electronic platform, along with completing the requirements for projects still under construction.

Al-Zuhairi highlighted the directorate's active role in monitoring the implementation of environmental management plans for approved projects. This initiative is focused on reducing harmful emissions, protecting public health, and conserving natural resources. He noted that these actions align with the directorate's commitment to fostering sustainable development and ensuring a healthy and safe environment for the province's residents.
