Al-Yasiri Urges Parliament to Host Talks on Aqari Platform


Baghdad: MP Hayam Al-Yasiri has proposed that the Parliamentary Committee on Transportation and Communications convene a meeting with key stakeholders from the “Aqari” electronic platform. The purpose of this meeting is to address concerns regarding operational issues and the financial implications for citizens when engaging in real estate transactions through the platform.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Yasiri has formally requested the presence of several high-ranking officials. These include the Director General of the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice, the Director of the National Center for Digital Transformation at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, the Head of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, the Director of the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Office at the Central Bank, and the Director of the company responsible for developing and managing the platform.



Al-Yasiri has stated that the meeting is intended to elucidate the fees and financial obligations imposed on citizens. Furthermore, it will examine the legal foundation of electronic contracts, their validity, and the methods used for data protection and security. The discussion will also cover a range of other issues concerning the platform’s functionality.
