United nations: UN Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres has issued a stark warning regarding the renewed military confrontations between the United States and Iran, emphasizing the potential for these developments to undermine diplomatic efforts and lead to disastrous outcomes.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, UN Spokesperson St©phane Dujarric conveyed Guterres’ concerns during a press briefing. Dujarric highlighted that Guterres warned of catastrophic consequences for the people of the region, international peace and security, and the global economy if large-scale military confrontations were to resume.

Dujarric further stated that the Secretary-General urged all parties involved to exercise maximum restraint. Guterres called for the avoidance of any further escalatory actions and emphasized the importance of taking immediate measures to de-escalate tensions. He stressed the urgency of returning to the negotiating table to address unresolved issues through diplomatic means.
