Najaf: The Council of Friday Prayer Leaders in Iran has expressed its gratitude towards the Iraqi people and the Popular Mobilization Forces for their role in the funeral procession of the martyred Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Council commended the supportive stances and participation of these groups, highlighting the significance of their contributions. In a statement, the Council acknowledged the efforts of the hospitable Iraqi people, the Popular Mobilization Forces, resistance factions, and freedom fighters across the globe in creating what they described as “an immortal epic” during the procession.
The funeral procession for Ayatollah Khamenei began solemnly in Najaf, symbolizing the deep ties and shared sentiments between the Iranian and Iraqi communities, as well as the broader network of resistance movements.
