Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi hosted a crucial meeting of the State Administration Coalition at the Government Palace. The meeting was attended by prominent leaders, including President Nizar Amedi, Speaker of the Council of Representatives Haibat Hamad Al-Halbousi, President of the Supreme Judicial Council Faiq Zidan, and President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq Nechirvan Barzani.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the participants were briefed on the arrangements and objectives for Prime Minister Al-Zaidi's upcoming visit to the United States. Discussions centered on leveraging the visit's anticipated outcomes to serve Iraq's interests and strengthen its international relations.
The coalition members reiterated their unwavering support for the government's anti-corruption efforts, emphasizing the importance of continuing the campaign in accordance with the law, without political influence. They highlighted the necessity of confining arms to state authority, reinforcing the rule of law, and consolidating the state's constitutional institutions' authority and sovereignty.
Additionally, the State Administration Coalition extended condolences to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, and the Qatari people on the passing of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, praying for divine mercy upon him.
The coalition urged a focus on dialogue and understanding to address regional issues, advocating for peaceful means to achieve security and stability. It affirmed Iraq's readiness to act as a hub for shared interests and their advancement.
