President Amedi Receives Jordanian Ambassador to Discuss Regional Cooperation

Baghdad: President Nizar Amedi received Jordanian Ambassador to Iraq Maher Al-Tarawneh at Baghdad Palace on Monday.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Media Department of the Presidency of the Republic indicated that the meeting reviewed the latest regional security and economic developments. It also explored avenues to expand cooperation between Iraq and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan across various fields, in support of the shared interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples.

President Amedi stressed the importance of consolidating security and stability across the region and intensifying coordination and consultation among regional partners to address current challenges. He noted that regional stability remains a fundamental pillar for advancing economic development and promoting the interests of the region's peoples.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Tarawneh expressed Jordan's pride in its fraternal ties with Iraq and reaffirmed the Hashemite Kingdom's commitment to further strengthening cooperation and coordination in ways that serve mutual interests and reinforce regional security and stability.
