Al-numan: The international coalition’s mission will conclude on the scheduled date of September 30, as affirmed by Sabah Al-Numan, spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, during a press conference attended by an Iraqi News Agency (INA) correspondent. He emphasized the significant advancements made by the government in arming the security forces and acquiring air defense systems.
According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Numan highlighted the government’s commitment to regulating the weapons file. He assured that sectarian rhetoric and malicious rumors will not be tolerated, reiterating the prohibition of any weapons outside state control. The government remains focused on ensuring that all weapons are regulated under state authority.
Al-Numan further noted that the Counter-Terrorism Service operates under the directives and support of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. He stressed that arming the security forces is a top priority, acknowledging the notable progress made in equipping the forces and acquiring air defense systems. He also mentioned the establishment of a funding fund dedicated to purchasing air defense systems.
