Iran Demands U.S. Compliance Before Reopening Strait of Hormuz

Tehran: Washington must meet our conditions before opening the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei called on the United States to meet Iran’s conditions before reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Rezaei emphasized during his meeting with the Qatari Prime Minister that “Iran does not trust America.” He added, “America must meet Iran’s conditions before reopening the Strait of Hormuz… If America initiates any action against us, it will be a disaster for its military and economic interests.”

US President Donald Trump had announced the start of an economic campaign against Iran, describing it as “unprecedented isolation,” and called on allies to join Washington.
