Baghdad:Western Desert: Military Intelligence has seized a significant haul of narcotic pills in the Western Desert.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate of Military Intelligence announced the confiscation of approximately a quarter-million narcotic pills. This operation was conducted under the supervision of Lieutenant General Hassan Jawad Al-Silawi, with the Intelligence and Security Department of the 5th Infantry Division playing a critical role in thwarting the smuggling attempt.

The narcotics were reportedly prepared for smuggling using a hot-air balloon equipped with a tracking device. The forensic evidence investigation unit is currently proceeding with legal actions to prepare official reports and will refer the findings to the appropriate authorities in line with existing laws.
