Baghdad:Deputy Speaker of Parliament Farhad Amin Atroshi extended congratulations to the Yazidi community on Tuesday in celebration of the “Jama” festival, emphasizing the importance of national unity and peaceful coexistence among diverse societal components.

According to the National Iraqi News Agency, Atroshi’s message included best wishes to Yazidis both in Iraq and abroad during the Festival of Gathering. He highlighted the need for promoting religious tolerance and fostering peaceful coexistence among all communities.

Atroshi urged the federal government to enhance efforts to facilitate the return of displaced Yazidis to their original homes, to uncover the fate of those abducted or missing, and to ensure their rights are protected. He also called for financial and moral compensation for the Yazidi community, aiming to create an environment that supports a dignified life. He concluded by wishing the Yazidis a joyful and happy holiday.
