Iraq Stock Exchange Aims to Boost International Investment Cooperation


Sanaa:The Iraq Stock Exchange (ISX) has committed to enhancing digital transformation and developing its technical environment to protect investor rights. It is also working to expand regional and international cooperation to open new investment opportunities.



According to the Iraqi News Agency, Zulfiqar Hafiz Jaber, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the ISX, highlighted these efforts during the “World Investor Day 6” conference. He noted that the ISX has recently implemented developmental projects to improve operational efficiency and transparency.



Among the significant achievements are the launch of the capital market development strategy for 2026-2028, joining the “Tabadul” platform, and strengthening transparency and corporate governance to align with the best practices of regional and international financial markets.



Jaber acknowledged the essential role of the Securities Commission and its Chairman, Faisal Al-Haimus, in supporting these initiatives. He emphasized that joint coordination with the Commission helps establish a robust institutional framework for reform projects, ensuring a transparent investment environment that boosts market confidence.



The ISX has prioritized plans to accelerate digital transformation and complete technical infrastructure projects. By collaborating with the Authority and strategic partners, the Exchange aims to enhance engagement with regional and international markets to uncover new investment opportunities.



The shared vision between the ISX and the Securities Authority is to create a financial market that supports Iraq’s national economy while attracting investment. This vision is built on principles of transparency and institutional discipline to bolster investor confidence and meet their aspirations.
