Najaf:Iraqi Airways has resumed its flights to Iran, marking a significant development in regional air travel.
According to Iraqi News Agency, the airline announced the resumption of regular daily flights from Najaf International Airport to several Iranian cities, including Tehran, Mashhad, and Isfahan. This move comes after the completion of necessary regulatory and technical requirements, facilitated by efforts from the prime minister and oversight by the transport minister.
The airline emphasized that the return of these flights will enhance passenger travel and expand Iraq’s regional air connectivity. The flights are expected to cater to religious, medical, and educational travel needs.
Iraqi Airways had suspended its flights to Iran since early March, and the resumption of services is a welcomed change for travelers between the two countries.
