Hanoi:Nineveh Director of the Political Prisoners Foundation and an employee of the Education Directorate in Nineveh were arrested for accepting bribes in separate incidents.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Nineveh Investigation Court, which deals with national security cases, announced the arrests. The Director was caught accepting a bribe to disburse financial entitlements using forged documents. Meanwhile, the employee was apprehended while taking a bribe to hire individuals on a contract basis at the Education Directorate.

The Supreme Judicial Council reported that statements from the accused have been recorded, and legal actions were initiated. Both individuals are detained under the provisions of Clause Second of Resolution No. 160 of 1983.
