Hanoi:A specialized meeting was conducted by the National Security Advisory’s Crisis and Risk Studies Department at Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies. This meeting included representatives from various ministries and national bodies responsible for engineering operations and the management of mine and war remnant clearance efforts.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the primary focus of the meeting was to review and scrutinize the mine clearance manual. The goal was to align the manual’s training and operational components with international standards and national legislation, thus standardizing technical methods and enhancing the proficiency of specialized personnel.
Participants stressed the importance of adopting the unified manual as a national reference for training and qualification. This initiative is aimed at improving safety standards, expediting the clearance of contaminated land, and supporting development and stability efforts.
