Baghdad: Head of the Board of Trustees of the Iraqi Media Network (IMN), Thaer Al-Ghanimi, is leading the Iraqi delegation participating in the meetings of the Executive Council of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU).

According to Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Board of Trustees indicated that Al-Ghanimi is set to head the Iraqi delegation at the 115th meeting of the Executive Council of ASBU. The meeting is scheduled to take place in Hammamet, Tunisia, on September 20. The agenda will focus on enhancing the Union’s operational mechanisms, adapting to modernization, and developing various media sectors, while also accelerating joint Arab media cooperation.

The statement further mentioned that discussions will include the Arab Radio and Television Festival, which is planned to be held in Hammamet from September 21 to 24, 2026. Additionally, the meeting will cover reports from the General Administration and the Union’s affiliated centers, which include broadcasting, television, training, and financial and legal affairs. Various administrative and organizational matters will also be addressed, along with scheduling the next Executive Council meeting.
