Al-Hakim And Al-Samarrai Emphasize Adherence To Constitutional Timelines For Next Iraqi Government Formation

Baghdad: The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar al-Hakim, and the head of the Azm Alliance, Muthanna al-Samarrai, emphasized the necessity of adhering to constitutional timelines to form the next government, which is essential for fulfilling its duties and addressing the challenges facing Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement revealed that Ammar al-Hakim hosted Muthanna al-Samarrai to discuss the current developments in Iraq and the obligations that lie ahead. Both leaders stressed the importance of sticking to constitutional timelines to ensure that the new government can effectively perform its responsibilities and tackle the challenges it faces.

Al-Hakim highlighted the need to maintain balance among Iraq’s various societal components, prioritizing the concerns of all citizens. He emphasized reaching a consensus on the governance approach for the coming phase, while underscoring the significance of regional and international engagement and considering the challenges that Iraq encounters.

He further noted the necessity of preserving the stability achieved in Iraq’s security, social, and political spheres. He explained that the forthcoming challenge involves enhancing the economic situation, diversifying income sources, and ensuring service provision.

Al-Hakim asserted that Iraq is capable of overcoming these challenges, just as it surmounted previous critical issues, provided that efforts are unified and leaders share the concerns and needs of the Iraqi people.
